Teetering somewhere between cool expressionism and blue abstract art, Reflejo en el lago de Cobertizo makes a beautiful addition to classic yet modern interiors.
Sketched in Cobertizo, Mexico, Juan Rodríguez Varón was inspired by the winter light and its effect on the waters of Cobertizo’s lake. Executed using oil pencil, Juan captures the essence of the lake in refractions of light created using rough, unpolished lines.
"Colours are shaped by the atmospheric conditions of a place and its topography. They constantly change. This means that all colour fields are unique in their juxtaposition, in the ever-changing vibrations and tensions between them."
