Studio Parga was founded to celebrate and champion creative talent from Latin America. By collaborating with artists from the region, we offer an exclusive collection of contemporary art prints that tell a story of diversity, skill and draughtsmanship.

We’re looking for artists from Latin America to join Studio Parga with a view to offering limited edition giclée prints of their works from the end of 2024 and through 2025.

We're excited to be able to offer our platform as a springboard for creative talent from the region and look forward to having you join us!

Who can enter?

The Studio Parga Open Call 2024 is free to enter. All entrants must be aged 18 or over and must originate from Latin America. Entrants do not have to currently be resident in Latin America.

What do I need to submit?

Please submit 6-12 images of work that would be available for us to reproduce as limited edition giclée prints to sell through Studio Parga. All images must be under 2MB in size and JPEG in format.

Please include the following information in the filename:

Name
Title of artwork
Dimensions (width x height in cm)
Medium
Example: yourname_title_widthxheight_medium

Send JPEG images in the body of the email - no WeTransfers or Dropbox links.
Include a short text about your submitted works (max. 200 words).
Include links to your website and/or social media accounts.

Where do I send my submission?

Include your full name in the email subject line followed by: Open Call 2024.

What's the deadline for submissions?

The deadline for entries is 17 August 2024 (midnight BST). Works submitted after this date will not be considered.

Should I submit my entry in English or Spanish?

You can submit your entry in either Spanish or English.

Results

When will the results be announced?

Results of the Studio Parga Open Call 2024 will be announced on 2 September 2024.

How will successful artists be notified?

Successful entrants will be notified by email.

They will then be contacted directly by Caroline or Esteban to define print specifications for each artwork, finalise the license agreement contract between the artist and Studio Parga, and coordinate a launch date.

Terms & conditions

Copyright

The artist must have created the artwork themselves, own copyright to the submitted work, and be able and willing to license usage rights to Studio Parga. The artist will retain full copyright of their art while working with Studio Parga and will only license the use of an image of the artwork for the purpose of art print reproduction. In return, Studio Parga will pay the artist royalties as and when prints of the artist's work sell.

Responsibilities

Production, marketing, PR and shipping costs will be paid by Studio Parga.

The artist is responsible for providing high-quality digital images of the chosen artworks to print quality standards. Studio Parga
will provide guidance and assistance where needed.

Exclusivity

Works submitted must not have been reproduced as art prints previously and must be available for reproduction as limited edition prints for sale exclusively by Studio Parga for the duration of the working relationship.
