By creating exaggerated versions of mid-century Hollywood costumes, Gonzalo takes back cliched symbols of Latin America. He turns the table on North American culture, highlighting antiquated stereotypes of the South as superficial and absurd. And all with just the right amount of humour, intelligence and skill.
