As one of the earliest subjects in the artist’s body of work, Zucaritas reflects Benmayor’s fascination with objects that combine strong graphic design with personal and collective meaning. "I don't seek to interpret what I see as if it were a photograph. Instead, I revel in my own unique imperfections, those that give character to an image. That's why I developed a figurative language that evokes pop art, comics and cartoons.
My work is an observation of certain objects that catch my attention. All for different reasons: their symbolic power, what they represent, or what they mean to me. But their primary appeal is the graphic play they offer when I paint them: typography, textures, characters, icons and so on. Some are everyday items, like paint cans, milk cartons or product packaging.
They vary wildly. But all belong to a collective imagination bound by history."

If you’re not fully happy with your order, you can return it within 30 days for a refund or replacement. Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging. Returns are typically processed within 14 days of receipt.

Studio Parga uses high-quality solid wood frames with acrylic glazing to protect your prints from dust, humidity and UV light. Acrylic glazing is lighter than traditional glass, as well as being shatter-resistant, making it safer and easier to hang.
