“The route I take to my studio passes by the National University of Colombia, which is surrounded by aged metal fences and barbed wire that are now covered by blossoming plants. I wanted to capture this ability of nature to transcend barriers that have been imposed by society. Blankets of flowers intertwine with these fences, delicately crossing their spikes. Here nature grows without resistance or aggression, driven by the persistence of life and its fundamental urge to grow and regenerate." Laura Sánchez Ariza (Villavicencio, 1995)
